Seven Russians Accused of Arson Released in Turkey
The Antalya court has released seven Russian citizens who were previously arrested on charges of setting fire to a forest. This was reported by RT.
According to Ivan Melnikov, deputy chairman of the Russian branch of the International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights, the complaint was upheld by the Antalya city court. The measure of restraint that had been selected in the form of detention has been lifted, and another measure of restraint has been imposed. However, he did not specify what the new measures entail.
He indicated that it was possible to release the tourists thanks to the efforts of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, human rights activists, and public support.
