Saakashvili, on Hunger Strike for 27 Days, Refuses Medical Assistance Again
The imprisoned former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, who has been on hunger strike for 27 days, has refused medical assistance and procedures aimed at alleviating his condition. This information was reported by Sputnik Georgia, citing Ukrainian doctor Maksym Perebiynis.
It is noted that Saakashvili’s personal physician demands that he be transferred to a civilian multidisciplinary clinic. The former president's lawyers are concerned for his safety if he is moved to a prison hospital.
