Names of Our Fallen Heroes Still Not Released by the Ministry of Defense: Nazaryan to the Minister
“It has been 350 days since November 9, and the names of our fallen heroes have still not been published by the Ministry of Defense, nor have the burial locations been disclosed,” said Gegam Nazaryan, a member of the ‘Armenia’ parliamentary faction, addressing the Minister of Defense, Arshak Karapetyan, during a Q&A session with the Government.
Nazaryan inquired why the names of the martyred heroes had not been published on the agency's website. He demanded on behalf of the parents that the names be made public by November 10, stating he was even willing to publish them himself after receiving the lists.
The Minister of Defense mentioned that the list has been published in the Soldiers’ Insurance Fund according to their data and requested that it be reviewed. The parliamentarian responded that he knows where the electronic site is.
It was questioned why the ministry itself does not publish and provide the lists. Nazaryan asked for clarification on where the soldiers were conscripted from and where they were buried.
“To be honest, I do not believe that you think that the documents published in the fund were not provided by the Ministry of Defense. We have found it necessary to work in that way,” the Minister stated, adding that they would consider the parliamentarian’s proposal and would announce their decision afterwards.
