I Believe It Has Become a Tradition for Gegham Manukyan That His Tongue Runs Ahead of His Mind: MP
I want to talk about the value of speech because when we say something somewhere, in some form, it has different expressions in various situations. This was stated by Arthur Hovhannisyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, during his speech at the National Assembly today, on October 27.
“We have all noticed that the forces represented in the National Assembly always have problems with content. In any case, this is how I have perceived it, because they try to embellish their thoughts with statements unrelated to reality. My call is about the fact that everyone sees you, hears you, and everyone knows what you are talking about, and very openly and obviously people immediately give their assessment of your words, which later have their consequences in real life.”
He continued: “Yesterday, Aghvan Vardanian approached the podium and allowed himself to express something to the ruling political majority, saying, 'Go eat some onions that have increased in price by I don't know how many percent, and cry.' Now, if we start this discourse about what anyone should have and then what they should do, I think we will go very far.”
Arthur Hovhannisyan added that a very dangerous remark was made by Gegham Manukyan yesterday. “I believe it has now become a tradition for Mr. Manukyan that his tongue runs ahead of his mind. What does it mean to say that during the Independence Day event, the people were divided into two parts? One part was the people, and the other part were incomprehensible people who were sitting in the square. Do you know that in that square, parents of fallen soldiers, the injured, and people who participated in the war were invited? Do you understand what you are saying? Do you realize that this could have very dangerous consequences for you in real life? I urge all of us to understand what we are talking about and to evaluate our words because, in some ways, they will have a positive or negative resonance,” emphasized the MP from the Civil Contract party.
