First Official Visit of RA President to Saudi Arabia

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has made the first official visit to Saudi Arabia, a key country in the Arab and Islamic world, in the history of newly independent Armenia.

As part of this exceptionally significant visit for the history of Armenian-Arab and specifically Armenia-Saudi Arabia relations, President Sarkissian attended the 5th Future Investment Initiative forum.

The forum was attended by leaders from many countries, members of governments, executives from major multinational and global companies, and businesspeople.

President Sarkissian was present at the opening ceremony of the forum alongside Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. The two leaders discussed the necessity of developing relations between their countries and the future of those relations.

It was noted that the historically rich ties between the two peoples provide a solid foundation for building future-oriented inter-state relations.
