Erdogan Attempts to Assess Post-War Signals from Armenia

The Turkish media has commented on an article published in the British "Financial Times", which discusses the "hand extended by Turkey, Armenia's main enemy" as noted by Ermenihaber.am.

According to the author of the article, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is trying to assess signals coming from Armenia after the recent war. The esteemed British newspaper notes that in recent weeks, Erdogan has stated that he could work towards "gradually normalizing relations" with Armenia. He emphasized that Armenia is also willing.

The publication mentions that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed readiness to negotiate "without preconditions". Despite these positive signals, the issue of the Armenian Genocide has been highlighted, emphasizing that "while the ice might melt in terms of trade and diplomacy, the chances of full reconciliation remain very slim."
