Clarification on Officials Attending Events Without Masks

In response to the confusion among our compatriots regarding the photographs from the official reception held at the Presidential Residence, we feel it is our duty to clarify that all participants in the event, who were primarily foreigners, had negative PCR test results. The majority of them were also vaccinated against the coronavirus. This clarification comes from the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

“Participants wore masks at their discretion. We agree that vaccination is the best way to protect against the virus, to overcome the pandemic, and to return to normal life,” they noted.

It should be mentioned that the photographs from the reception at the Presidential Residence generated significant noise online, where officials, including the Minister of Health, were seen without masks.
