Why Do People Avoid Going to Polyclinics and Vaccination? Hakob Badalyan

Political commentator Hakob Badalyan writes:

“I believe that alongside the entirely necessary active steps to encourage vaccination, it is equally important to undertake equally active measures to expand the communication possibilities regarding the vaccination process.

Have you seen what is happening in polyclinics? The queues for vaccination are already a breeding ground for the spread of the infection. Perhaps not everywhere is it like this; there may be completely free vaccination points, but in that case, it is essential to manage the flows in a way that ensures equitable distribution. Regardless, it is clear that there is a need to broaden communication opportunities.

Incidentally, many people also do not go for vaccination precisely for this reason—to avoid queues, which pose not only a risk of infection but also a loss of working hours.

Additionally, the argument that people should have been vaccinated on time is not relevant here. If everyone had gone to be vaccinated on time, we would still have had the same queues, and there would have been a shortage of vaccines as well.

Therefore, I believe that alongside the urgency of vaccination, urgent measures are critically needed to maximize communication efforts.”
