Police Urges Mask Wearing in Enclosed Spaces, Seems to Exclude High-Ranking Officials
Today, the world’s number one challenge continues to be the pandemic. Just like in other countries, Armenia is actively fighting against the spread of the coronavirus. The police urge the public to wear masks in enclosed public spaces.
“We regret to note that the number of infections in our country has significantly increased recently. In Armenia, between 1,000 to 2,000 people are infected daily, and the death toll averages around forty. The best way to avoid contracting the virus is to adhere to anti-epidemic safety rules. Dear citizens, please wear masks in public enclosed spaces. Dear drivers and passengers, while conducting transportation, please only do so with protective masks on. The police’s external service continuously carries out special measures in this direction and will remain vigilant in the future. Administrative violation reports will be compiled for those who violate the rules.
Wearing a mask is not an end in itself. Believe me, by adhering to anti-epidemic safety rules, lives are saved. Wear a mask even if you are vaccinated, maintain social distancing, and frequently disinfect your hands. It is also important to mention the correct way of wearing a mask. The mask should fully cover the nose and mouth. Improper wearing is equivalent to not wearing one at all.
If we all adhere to anti-epidemic safety rules, rest assured, the disease will retreat. Let’s unite against this evil. Let’s not allow the pandemic to take away our loved ones. Wishing health to us all.”
However, it should be noted that, in parallel reality, on the evening of October 24, at the Presidential Residence, a meeting was held in honor of “Intellectuals” by the name of Armen Sarkissian, where high-ranking officials, who tirelessly promote compliance with anti-epidemic rules and shout about the ferocity of the coronavirus pandemic, participated without masks and without maintaining social distance. Notably, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan was seen in the front row without a mask.
