If it weren't for the allied countries with us, the Turkish side would have achieved results long ago. Geghamyan
If we simplify the picture, there are two competing geopolitical projects that exclude each other, and their implementation will determine the configuration of power in the entire Eurasia for the coming decades. One is the "North-South" corridor, and the other is the "East-West" corridor, better known as the "Turkic/Zangezur Corridor." This was stated on Facebook by Varoujan Geghamyan, a Turkologist and co-founder of the "Armenian Project" program.
Both are backed by regional and global powers. Both pass through the territory of Armenia with one major difference. The "North-South" is a route that crosses our entire republic's territory and essentially reinstates us as a geopolitical weight alongside our allies, while the implementation of the "Turkic Corridor" would mean handing over Syunik to the Turks, closing the issue of Artsakh, cutting off Iran, and turning us into a parking lot, thus losing all chances of remaining an independent state and fully becoming a zone of Turkish influence.
This is the clear picture. If it weren't for the allied countries standing with us despite our will, the Turkish side would have achieved results long ago, as the capitulant himself and his ignorant team are not opposed to turning the Turks into a regional superpower.
It is necessary to resist to exclude the corridor. Moreover, this must be done through nationwide efforts.
I have discussed many details of the "corridor diplomacy" in the English edition of Groong - Armenian News Network (https://youtu.be/bXBycmvUyN8), so that our compatriots living in the Diaspora also understand the necessity of continuing the struggle. Feel free to share this in your English-speaking environment.
