Call to Approximately 1,202,800 Health Ministers in Armenia: A Request to Women from YSMU Rector

The Rector of Yerevan State Medical University, Armen Muradyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "I am making a request to the approximately 1,202,800 health ministers working in the Republic of Armenia: Women... Dear women, I have decided to address each of you with a request... I have always held the view that the health minister of every household is a woman, whose caring hands ensure the health of the family.

Today, we, the healthcare workers, need your support more than ever. We all know that your role is significant in all fields, especially in healthcare and medicine. I ask you to help the White Army, urge your family members to strictly adhere to all anti-epidemic rules and do not let unprofessional opinions regarding vaccinations enter your homes. Protect your households from ignorance, keep your fortresses strong and healthy, and do not allow shadows to dim the light...

I urge you to join the doctors’ fight and explain to your family members that at this moment, the only way we can combat Covid-19 is through vaccination—believe me, at this point, we have no other weapon. I am confident that if you join us, the doctors, and we begin to fight together, we will surely defeat the invisible enemy—Covid-19.

Remember, each of you can break the chain of Covid-19 transmission. Do it for the health of us all, for the sake of those boys who are fighting for our peace at the cost of their lives on the front lines, for the healthy future of your children, for the sake of your beloved men... believe me, this serves the interests of us all.

One more personal request, please teach your family members to respect the work of healthcare workers who tirelessly work day and night... I would appreciate it if you do not disregard my request..." he emphasized.
