A Record High of Paid Job Positions Registered in Armenia in September: Pashinyan
We are projecting a 7% economic growth for 2022. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a joint session of the Standing Committees of the National Assembly while presenting the state budget for 2022.
The Prime Minister noted that despite much of the current year being marked by political and security instability, our economy is currently exceeding all forecasts made for 2021.
“In September 2021, a record high of paid job positions was registered in Armenia, reaching 651,141. We have never had a higher figure in Armenia. This year's figure is 3% higher than last year,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
He also pointed out that against the backdrop of a rather high inflation rate of 6.4% this year, the gross salary fund in September increased by 15.3% compared to September of the previous year, while the salary per employee grew by 11.9% compared to September of the previous year.
