Another Drunk Driver Causes Damage to Cars in Central Yerevan; One Injured

On October 24, another major traffic accident occurred in Yerevan involving a driver under the influence. Around 1:10 AM, 23-year-old Samvel Harutyunyan, a resident of Yerevan, crashed his Hyundai Elantra into a Kia at the intersection of Baghramyan Avenue and Isahakyan Street, then collided with a parked Mercedes GL, Toyota Camry, Nissan Teana, and Honda G.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, Harutyunyan's passenger, 25-year-old Vahe Mkrtchyan, was transported to the number 1 university hospital. Doctors provided assistance on site to several citizens, but they refused to go to the hospital, stating they felt fine.

Harutyunyan underwent a sobriety test, which confirmed that he was intoxicated.
