Rustam Badasyan Continues the Cadre Purge

According to the newspaper "Hraparak," "We have already reported that Rustam Badasyan has begun a cadre purge in the system since his appointment as chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC). Moreover, it is primarily experienced and competent personnel that are leaving or being removed.

The SRC officially responded that 104 employees have left the committee voluntarily. Specifically, we learned that Badasyan, immediately after being appointed as the SRC chairman, dismissed Aram Azaryan, the maternal uncle of Arthur Vanetsyan, who was working as the head of a department in the customs administration.

Armen Nanyan, the son of General-Major Zaven Nanyan from the National Security Service, who had held the position of head of the Zvartnots division against smuggling since 2018, has also been fired.
