If it is clearly stated about the possibility of force majeure, then most likely no document will be signed: Hohikyan
Journalist and media expert Nairi Hohikyan writes: "Active discussions are taking place on social platforms regarding several publications from October 22. People are asking what Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement meant and why Azerbaijani President Aliyev said that the Armenian side agreed to the concept of a corridor.
Furthermore, at the end of the day, journalist Tatul Hakobyan announced that on November 9, the leaders of three countries will sign two documents regarding the delimitation and demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
I have been receiving many emails expressing concern that we are once again facing a nation-threatening issue. Honestly, I currently do not think so, because: Aliyev's statement about the corridor was a direct response to Putin's words that the delineation would be carried out with Russia's mediation since the military maps from the 1920s are in their General Staff.
This way, Putin sent a message to Azerbaijan that there is no need to push too hard, because based on the military maps from the 1920s, a significant part of present-day Azerbaijan legally belonged to Armenia. By announcing his agreement to the corridor, Aliyev practically tried to cast a shadow on Putin's statement, of course, at Erdogan's instigation.
I certainly do not have the right to question Tatul Hakobyan's publication, respecting his journalistic experience, but I suggest paying attention to one of his expressions: 'The two documents, which are almost in their final form, will be signed by Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev with Vladimir Putin's mediation and participation, unless there are force majeure situations at the last minute.'
Here, the author or the source of the information has insured himself. Consider that if it has indeed been decided to sign a document, then regardless of force majeure situations, Vladimir Putin will force the parties to sign it; and if the possibility of force majeure is clearly stated, then most likely no document will be signed.
In any case, kitchen discussions continue. I have information that discussions are also taking place in the Prime Minister's office regarding the details of the expected meeting in November, but the signing of a specific contract is quite unlikely, almost impossible.
As for the concerns regarding Artsakh, I suggest our compatriots remain calm. At this moment, there will be no encroachment on Artsakh."
