Arsen Julfalakyan to Pashinyan: "You Say You Will Bring Peace; Where Will You Bring It From?"

Arsen Julfalakyan to Pashinyan: "You Say You Will Bring Peace; Where Will You Bring It From?"

"At this moment, fatal developments are taking place on the front of Armenia's foreign relations. Our map is being reshaped, our borders are being changed, the fate of Artsakh is being determined right now, and the main decision-maker is the same person who has been publicly disgraced and delegitimized by the leader of a hostile state," said wrestler and former MP of the 'My Step' faction Arsen Julfalakyan in an interview with 24 news.am.

He emphasized that the public must ask itself what a political figure, who was defeated and so discredited just a year ago, can demand from the leader of a hostile state at the negotiating table and at what cost, and where exactly he will bring his promised "peace" from.

"You say you will bring peace; where will you bring it from? From where do you think you will bring it if they happen to decide not to give that peace? What will you do then?" Julfalakyan stated, also posing another rhetorical question: how did the public believe and again choose Pashinyan after the war?

"Our public must awaken. The important thing is that it is not too late. Sooner or later, it will awaken, but it could awaken to a reality in which nothing can be changed. I believe there is still some time to change something, as long as the final document has not been signed," he said.

Julfalakyan also mentioned that the true nature of Pashinyan and his team became clearer to him after the infamous signing of the document on November 9. "After the November 9 document, I realized that he had been deceiving us for so long. I don’t know how to describe it—he had deceived the public. Along the way, I could see that the actions were going wrong, because I noticed problems in his every live broadcast, but I hoped the outcome would be different. But after signing the November 10 document, when I saw his and his team’s attitude toward this defeat, especially the former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports... they didn’t just take it hard... For instance, the well-known former minister characterized it as a post-war syndrome, which will pass in three weeks. After November 15, during one of his closed discussions, the person described it as a three-week syndrome. And how should I relate to this person and his circle when I saw that after these statements, he continued to rise in positions? I understood that he is not alone, a group is acting. This became absolutely evident after the war," Julfalakyan stated.

He also noted that the actions of the country’s current leader are becoming more and more unacceptable to him each day. "Every step lowers the bar more. There is no bar left; we are going below the floor. How can he be acceptable? He is not a politician. We are talking about the first person of the country. I believe that psychologists will give a much more accurate characterization of him to provide a psychological picture," Julfalakyan concluded.
