The Fiancé of Slain American Gabby Petito Found Dead

The FBI has confirmed that the remains discovered in a Florida reserve belong to Brian Laundrie, the fiancé of American Gabby Petito. This was reported by the BBC.

The remains, along with personal items belonging to Laundrie, were found on Thursday. Following this, experts examined the remains and concluded that they were indeed those of Petito's fiancé. A local journalist tweeted that authorities had already informed Laundrie's parents about the discovery of their son's body.

The story of Petito and Laundrie became known worldwide. Gabby Petito left for a trip with her fiancé on July 2 and did not return. The boy returned home alone on September 1, refused to answer questions, and shortly thereafter, he also went missing.

It should also be noted that after the disappearance, it came to light that on August 12, an altercation had broken out between the couple, which required police intervention. According to the report, when the police noticed the arguing couple in their car, they pulled them over; during this time, the girl was seen crying. The couple explained that they had both been in an unstable state recently. The police gave them a verbal warning, advised them to spend the night separately, and let them go.
