Director Injured by Alec Baldwin's Gunfire Released from Hospital: What’s Next for the Actor

Director Joel Souza, who was injured by a gunshot from actor Alec Baldwin during the filming of "Rust," has been released from the hospital. Details about his condition were shared on Twitter by actress Frances Fisher, one of the cast members.

Fisher responded to another social media user who claimed that Souza was in intensive care. "That is not true. Our director Joel Souza is not in the hospital," she stated.

During the shooting of one of the film's scenes, Baldwin discharged a firearm, injuring both Souza and cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The latter was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died.

As of now, the police have not filed any charges against Baldwin.
