Severe Wind Damages the Kremlin Wall
The Federal Protective Service of Russia has confirmed that strong winds have caused damage to a section of the walls of the Moscow Kremlin. Denis Simonov, head of the press center of the Service, detailed that there were no injuries resulting from the incident.
“Restoration work was being carried out on the section of the wall from the Spasskaya Tower to the Senate Tower. The strong winds caused these activities to be halted,” Simonov stated. He also mentioned that there was a collapse of construction components, resulting in damage to parts of the wall.
Footage shows how the structures fall one after another. It was previously reported that the Kremlin fortress wall has lost one of its teeth. In Moscow today, wind speeds may reach 15-20 meters per second.
