Queen Elizabeth II Spent Night in Hospital

Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain spent a night in the hospital due to the late hour, which prevented her from returning home. This was reported by the Sun newspaper.

Earlier, Buckingham Palace announced that Elizabeth II had gone to the hospital on October 20, and returned to Windsor Castle on October 21. The 95-year-old queen had visited a private clinic of King Edward VII in central London on doctors' advice for a check-up. According to the newspaper, the queen remained in the hospital overnight because her aides did not want to return to Windsor at such a late hour.

The publication notes that the queen last spent a night in the hospital in 2013 when she suffered from gastroenteritis. Over the past 40 years, Elizabeth II has been hospitalized only five times.

Her visit to the clinic preceded the cancellation of her trip to Northern Ireland, which she had to decline on doctors' orders. However, those close to the queen believe she will be able to attend the climate summit set to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, in early November, as reported by RIA Novosti.
