Parliamentary Agenda to be Approved: What Questions Will Be Discussed?

According to the "Joghovourd" newspaper, a sitting of the National Assembly Council will take place today, during which the agenda for the upcoming parliamentary session starting on October 25 will be approved. The first issue to be confirmed is the draft state budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2022, which will also be discussed in committee meetings.

The National Assembly Council is also expected to approve the government's proposal regarding amendments to the law on the state border. According to this amendment, it is stipulated that air defense forces will use air defense means in accordance with the procedures established by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Overall, this session will encompass 14 issues. In addition to approving the agenda, the National Assembly Council will also confirm the compositions of the Armenian National Assembly’s delegations for the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee (four out of ten members being opposition), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (two out of six members being opposition), the Inter-Parliamentary Union (three out of eight members being opposition), the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy (one out of five members being opposition), and the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (three out of ten members being opposition).
