No Accurate Assessment of the Current Situation in the Past Year: Ohanyan
Today, Armenia and Artsakh find themselves in a situation where continuous clashes of world power centers are occurring in our region, and the entry of regional players into the South Caucasus has also been permitted. This was stated by Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the Armenia parliamentary 'Hayastan' faction and former Minister of Defense, during a roundtable discussion titled 'Threats Facing Armenia and Artsakh and Ways to Overcome Them' on October 22.
'As a result of the provocation initiated by the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem, we have found ourselves in this difficult situation. In the past year, no accurate assessment has been made of the situation, and this brings uncertainty for both Armenia and Artsakh's outlook. The causes and consequences of war are clear to us, but it is unfortunate that a series of defeats have become a continuous phenomenon for Armenia and Artsakh. All of this leads to certain evident and shadowy occurrences that must be addressed through our collective effort aimed at prevention,' said Seyran Ohanyan, adding that they operate under the slogan 'No to the Turkification of Armenia, No to the Depopulation of Artsakh.'
Seyran Ohanyan noted that the security environment around us has become more fragile today.
