Joint Armenian-Russian Military Exercises Launched in Armenia

The joint tactical exercises of the Armenian and Russian forces have commenced in Armenia. According to a report by Armenpress, this was announced to Sputnik Armenia by the commander of the joint force group, Lieutenant General Tigran Parvanyan.

The exercises involve units from both the special army corps of the Armenian Armed Forces and the reinforced subdivisions of the Russian 102nd military base. The General also emphasized that similar exercises are conducted several times a year, in accordance with a preparatory plan.

The drills, taking place on October 22, will involve several scenarios. A significant amount of military equipment is involved, specifically tanks, infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), and self-propelled artillery. After the active phase, results will be summarized, and appropriate directives will be given.
