18-Year-Old Girl Jumps from Bridge in Gyumri
The Shirak regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is preparing materials following a notification received by the Mush police department in Gyumri from the emergency medical service on October 19.
According to Shamshyan.com, at around 11:45 that day, a call was received by the Mush police department from the Gyumri medical center reporting that a young girl had been brought in with diagnoses of "polytrauma, open fractures of both thighs, a bleeding neck wound, and traumatic shock."
The police and investigators have determined that the patient transferred to the hospital was 18-year-old A.K., a resident of Gyumri, who had fallen from a bridge in Gyumri. Preliminary information suggests that she attempted to commit suicide. Medical staff at the hospital have informed police and investigators that she is unable to provide an explanation. A forensic medical examination has been appointed.
