When the Winter Draft Will Begin Has Been Announced

The government decided during its meeting on October 21 to declare the winter draft from October 25, 2021, to January 31, 2022, inclusive. This refers to male citizens of the Republic of Armenia who turn 18 years old by December 31, 2021, inclusive, as well as those citizens whose deferral from mandatory military service has expired by December 31, 2021, inclusive.

It was decided that within the framework of the winter draft of 2021, soldiers who have completed mandatory military service or alternative military service will be discharged by January 31, 2022, inclusive, within the legally established time period. The replenishment of the armed forces will be carried out with citizens subject to mandatory military service or alternative military service from December 20, 2021, to January 31, 2022, inclusive, while the discharge of soldiers who have completed mandatory military service or alternative military service will be conducted from December 16, 2021, to January 31, 2022, inclusive.
