"Under Journalist Pashinyan, Media Has Never Been So Restricted" - Agnesa Khamoian

"This is clearly aimed at limiting the independence and freedom of journalists. While Pashinyan claimed that journalists and media have never been as free as during his tenure, I will say that under former journalist Nikol Pashinyan, the activities of media outlets have never been as restricted as they are now," commented Agnesa Khamoian, referring to the amendments to the media law proposed by members of the ruling political party.

It is noteworthy that according to the draft presented by the ruling party, media outlets will face penalties for referencing unidentified sources.
