I Consider the Actions of Armenian Authorities Unacceptable: Washing Hands of Various Issues Related to Artsakh

“Many episodes related to military operations are still unknown today, and it is unlikely that we will be able to get answers to these questions under the current authorities,” stated Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the "We Have Honor" faction, during a working discussion in the National Assembly regarding the socio-economic, legal, educational, and other issues of citizens living in the Republic of Artsakh, those forcibly displaced from Artsakh, and settled in the Republic of Armenia.

He noted that the current government is primarily responsible and has been doing everything throughout the post-war period to conceal existing issues and find other false targets.

In response to the question raised by Arsen Manukyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, regarding whether they are aware of who was responsible for the defense of Shushi during the war days, T. Abrahamyan said, “In fact, any military operation has its written command, which also documents the frontline commander. When we have the opportunity to access that classified information, it will become clear who is responsible in which direction and what led to the failures on the respective front.”

Speaking about security in Artsakh, which he stated is the main issue, T. Abrahamyan emphasized that all those in Armenia and Artsakh who believe that the security of Artsakh can or should only be guaranteed through Russian peacekeepers are mistaken or misleading us.

“The Defense Army must be restored and modernized. I consider the actions of the Armenian authorities unacceptable: washing their hands of political, military, and security issues related to Artsakh and engaging solely in humanitarian matters, because in the long term, we do not know what events will occur in our region and the world, what situation will be created in Artsakh in 4, 10, or 15 years,” concluded T. Abrahamyan.
