Erdogan on Iran's Military Exercises and Activity
Following Turkey's active and permanent involvement in the South Caucasus, do Iran's actions hold significance and could they escalate into a heated crisis? This topic was addressed by Turkish President Erdogan.
“Personally, I have no such expectations,” he noted.
Erdogan referred to Iran's military activities along the border with Nakhchivan and the South Caucasus. “Iran is responding to Azerbaijan's relations with Israel. Due to the relationship between Israel and Azerbaijan, Iran cannot target Azerbaijan, as the number of Azerbaijanis in Iran is high today. This certainly gives us something to think about. It is not easy. What has occurred is wrong. I believe that Iran, like the new leadership of that country, will not repeat this mistake,” stated the Turkish autocrat.
