Dumanyan Responds to Kyaramyan’s Suggestion of Negative Consequences for Teachers

“Our teachers should be carefree; they do not have any issues. There is no such question today,” said Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Vahram Dumanyan during a conversation with journalists, responding to the proposal made by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Argishti Kyaramyan, during a government meeting.

It is noteworthy that the Chairman of the Investigative Committee inquired whether it would be worth imposing negative consequences on teachers who do not pass certification.

“All teachers should participate and come with enthusiasm. The other issue is that a teacher may come several times but still does not succeed. I believe we should all ask why that is the case. Ultimately, a score of 70 or more is considered a passing threshold, and let’s say a teacher scores 65 or 68, what is the problem? There is no issue, but if someone comes and scores 10 out of 100, we have something to think about,” emphasized Vahram Dumanyan.
