Drugs of Unknown Origin Found in Inmate's Clothing Lining
On October 19, officers at the 'Vanadzor' penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia conducted a personal search of inmate D. A. before transferring him to court. As a result, they discovered 10 psychoactive pills and 30 unidentified pills hidden in a pre-prepared cache in the lining of his clothing, as well as razor blades in his mouth.
The following day, on October 20, at approximately 2:20 AM, a guard from one of the watchtowers of the same facility reported hearing sounds reminiscent of objects being thrown. Immediately after the alarm, correctional officers inspected the area and found three plastic bottles and a package containing a liquid characteristic of alcohol, along with a total of 81.6 grams of what appeared to be marijuana, separated into 11 masses. Additionally, they recovered seven factory-produced knives, three mobile phones, and two packs of playing cards.
Materials are being prepared regarding these incidents, and forensic chemical examinations have been appointed.
