COVID-19 Losses Exceed World War I Casualties, Says Putin
The losses from the coronavirus pandemic surpass the military casualties of the main participants in World War I. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by RIA.
He noted that more than 4.9 million people worldwide have already died from the coronavirus. “These terrifying numbers are comparable to and even exceed the military casualties of the main participants in World War I,” said Putin while speaking at the Valdai Forum.
