Autumn Pruning of Trees Begins in Yerevan

The autumn pruning of trees has commenced in Yerevan. Branches obstructing road traffic signs are also being pruned. This was reported by the Yerevan Municipality.

The Greenery and Environmental Protection Unit has initiated the sanitary pruning operations for trees across the city. Each tree species has its own pruning principles. The work is carried out under the guidance and supervision of specialists to ensure that improper pruning does not affect the growth of the plants or exacerbate tree diseases.

To ensure safety, branches that obstruct road traffic signs are being pruned and removed. This autumn, approximately 8,000 trees are slated for pruning, while dead trees will also be cut down. The recently updated fleet will organize the transportation of wood materials from all city points to storage facilities.
