The Authorities Are Preparing: Hot Days Are Ahead - 'Zhoghvorud'
According to the 'Zhoghvorud' newspaper, there is genuine panic and a decline in morale within the authorities, stemming from an embarrassing and unexpected defeat in the local government elections on October 17. Sources within the ruling party reveal that they are particularly struggling to cope with the results from the elections in the Goris community of the Syunik region. It can be stated that they are devising tactics to show their 'enemy' opposition their place.
There have been discussions within the government about the urgent need to recover quickly and prepare for the next mayoral elections, this time much more seriously. It should be noted that proportional elections for community councils will take place on November 14 in the communities of Stepanavan in the Lori region, Kapan in the Syunik region, and Ijevan in the Tavush region.
Representatives from these regions and the ruling 'Civil Contract' party have already been urged to remain sober, conduct their campaigns without overlooking the electorate, and frequently meet with community residents to make promises. Otherwise, they may find themselves once again facing a calamitous situation.
Furthermore, the government must also prepare for the elections scheduled for December 5. On that day, there will be consecutive elections for community councils in the regions of Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Shirak, Vayots Dzor, and Tavush, following the proportional system. Hot days are ahead.
