Iran Bans Its Trucks from Entering Nagorno-Karabakh via Lachin Corridor

The Azerbaijani Caliber news outlet’s Telegram channel has published a document, citing a correspondent from the Iranian Mehr news agency, which states that Iran has prohibited its trucks from entering the Nagorno-Karabakh region through the Lachin corridor, according to hraparak.am.

According to the publication, Mohammad Javad Khodayati, the director of Iran's International Transport and Transit Organizations, has sent a letter to the international transport companies' association, referencing the directive from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dated October 10. The directive notes that any attempt to enter the territory of Azerbaijan, apart from crossing the state border, is considered a violation of the country's territorial integrity.

The letter also states, according to the Azerbaijani media outlet, that the entry of Iranian trucks into Nagorno-Karabakh through the Lachin corridor is prohibited, as well as the signing of any commercial agreements related to Nagorno-Karabakh and the provision of accompanying documents by transport companies.
