I Wouldn't Be Surprised If Tigran Avinyan Becomes the Director of the Plant, Vahe Hakobyan
Vahe Hakobyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction and a former member of the board of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, does not rule out the possibility that former Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan could be appointed as the plant's director. This was reported by Sputnik Armenia.
"I do not believe that Tigran Avinyan has the professional knowledge and skills to lead an organization like the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, but I rule nothing out and would not be surprised if Tigran Avinyan, or Hakob Arshakyan, or Ruben Rubinyan could be the director..." he stated in an interview with the media.
According to him, the logic suggests that the company’s director should be a person appointed by a major shareholder, rather than someone from the government, which has acquired 15 percent of the shares through various means. Hakobyan is confident that there are ongoing behind-the-scenes discussions regarding the appointment of a company director at this time.
