The former head of the Azerbaijani division of Iran's Culture and Islamic Relations Organization, Ahmad Hoseyni Alast, has made a scandalous revelation. Specifically, he stated that Azerbaijan's 'father of the nation' cleaned shoes in the capital of Iran.

‘Heydar Aliyev was from the KGB. He himself mentioned that he had been a KGB agent in Tehran and cleaned and polished shoes in one of the corners of the city. He spoke about this with great pride. In other words, he wanted to show that he was familiar with Iran, that he knew Tehran and Iran well,’ Alast said in an interview with Mehr.
