Charges Filed Against Saakashvili

The Georgian authorities have filed charges against former president Mikheil Saakashvili for illegally crossing the country's border. This has been reported by Georgian media.

Earlier, it became known that Saakashvili entered Georgia from Ukraine by boat on September 28, hiding in a truck transporting dairy products. He was arrested on October 1 after crossing into Georgia. He is currently imprisoned, where he has declared a hunger strike.
