A Self-Accident Has Occurred: Details on the Tragic Crash Involving a Passenger 'Gazelle'

Today, it became known that a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Kakavadzor village. A passenger vehicle of the 'GAZel' brand veered off the road and overturned. As a result of the accident, there are 5 fatalities and 10 injured.

In an interview with ArmDaily.am, the mayor of Kakavadzor, Hayk Baghdasaryan, stated that it was a self-accident. “I am not in the village. I called to confirm that some sort of self-accident has occurred. It was a 'GAZel' from Leninakan; I don’t know anything else,” said the mayor.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that 7 of the injured have been hospitalized at the 'Armenia' Medical Center. Three of the injured have been transferred to the Ashtarak Medical Center, where their health condition has been assessed as satisfactory.

Rescue teams approached the bodies, handed them over to the ambulance services, disconnected the vehicle’s battery, closed the gas cylinder valve, and conducted road cleaning operations.
