Yerevan Zoo to Be Closed for One Day
The Yerevan Zoo will be closed to regular visitors on October 20 for one day, although it will open its doors to invited guests as a special event. This information has been provided by the zoo's press and public relations department.
"The event 'Evening of Dreams' will take place in the zoo for children with disabilities and chronic illnesses, as well as socially disadvantaged families. All services will be free for the invited guests. Live concerts, theatrical performances, animal feeding demonstrations, interactive developmental games, as well as food and gifts will also be organized," the zoo representatives stated.
This will be the third time the event is being held at the Yerevan Zoo. It is noteworthy that the 'Dreamnight at the Zoo' event was first held at the Rotterdam Zoo in 1996. Currently, over 300 zoos in around 35 countries are part of the global network of this annual event.
