Traffic Jam on Avenue Due to Stalled Bus
Every morning between 8 and 9 AM, there is a traffic jam on the section descending from Avan on Myasnikyan Avenue. The cause, as we have understood, is a massive bus that has been parked on the edge of the street for several days, serving the Abovyan-Yerevan route 261. As reported by Hraparak, Auroranews has also received complaints from various citizens regarding the same issue.
They mention that this bus, with a broken windshield, has been parked in a busy thoroughfare for over a week and is consistently causing traffic disruptions.
Days have gone by with this bus stranded here, and no one is addressing the issue—neither the management of the company operating the route nor the so-called 'line owner' has come to remove their vehicle, nor has the Yerevan municipality taken any measures to have the oversized bus towed from the roadside. Additionally, the traffic police patrol this area daily and seem oblivious to the bus parked in a busy part of the road for days.
This coordinated inaction between the private and public sectors causes a traffic jam every morning when the flow of vehicles on that avenue is heavy. Drivers on the first lane, upon reaching the bus, are forced to maneuver around it, requesting passage from those in the second lane, ultimately slowing down traffic in that section, which results in a jam. After bypassing the bus, the congestion dissipates quickly. It is worth noting that the bus belongs to the 'King Deluxe' transportation company.
