Six People Take Hostage in Madrid's Prado Museum, Threaten Suicide
Six individuals have taken over a room in Madrid's Prado Museum and are threatening to commit suicide if Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez does not meet their demands. La Sexta television reported this on October 19, as informed by Armenpress.
The issue at hand concerns victims of the so-called toxic oil syndrome, a disease outbreak that occurred in Spain in 1981 due to mass poisoning from cooking oil. According to members of a group representing the victims’ interests, around four thousand people could have died at that time.
According to 20 minutos newspaper, one of the demands is for Sánchez to agree to meet with the association whose representatives organized the protest, as reported by TASS.
