Putin Refuses to Attend Rome Summit

Vladimir Putin has declined to participate in the G20 summit scheduled to be held in Rome at the end of October. According to the Kremlin press service, during a conversation with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, the Russian leader expressed his willingness to attend via video link.

Previously, Putin indicated that participation in international summits poses a threat to the lives of the many people who accompany him during such visits, according to Moscow Kommersant.
