Pedestrian in Ararat Struck Leading to Fatality

On October 19, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 7:30 PM, Arthur Hovhannisyan, a 60-year-old resident of Yerevan, struck a pedestrian with his Mercedes vehicle on the 31st kilometer of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway. The victim was a 40-year-old resident of the Ararat region, Hovhannes Amirjanyan, according to shamshyan.com.

The driver did not flee the scene and attempted to provide assistance to the victim; however, the medical team from Artashat hospital, who arrived promptly, confirmed that the victim had passed away at the scene.

The police took the driver to the hospital to determine his level of sobriety.
