New Details Emerge About the Murder Near Moscow Cinema

According to the "Žhoghovurd" newspaper, new details have emerged regarding the murder that took place outside the "Moscow" cinema. As it is known, on June 2, 2021, a murder occurred in front of the "Moscow" cinema located on Abovyan Street in Yerevan. The victim was Hovhannes Vardanyan, the bodyguard of Rafael Mardoyan, known by the nickname Raffo from Qayqar.

According to our sources, after the incident, Mardoyan reported the crime to law enforcement, stating that he suspects the incident may be connected to an assassination attempt against him six years prior. The court has issued a warrant for an individual who was acquitted six years ago in connection with the assassination attempt against Mardoyan and is now abroad. However, Rafael Mardoyan has not provided law enforcement with the name of this individual and has not assisted in locating the alleged perpetrator.
