Competition Announced for Selection of New Design for Passport and ID Card

Starting from October 15, 2021, the police announce a competition for the selection of a new design for the Republic of Armenia's citizen passport and identity card, lasting one month. Both individuals and legal entities are eligible to participate.

Applications for participation should be submitted to the Passport and Visa Department of the Police (Yerevan, Davitashen 4th Neighborhood, Building 17/10). The works must be presented in a sealed envelope in the form of sketches. The sketches must be submitted in color, in electronic format (vector format), as well as on paper (the size is chosen by the participant). The participant also creates a 5-character pseudonym (a combination of numbers and/or letters), which must be affixed to all sketches.

An explanatory note must be attached to the work, detailing the images and decorations used in the sketch, their significance, symbolism, and purpose. The proposal must also include a sheet with the author's personal information: name, surname, patronymic, address, phone number, and a copy of an identification document.

The competition is conducted by a commission established by the order of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia. The competition fund amounts to three million eighty thousand dram. The fund will be distributed proportionally among the authors of the works recognized as winners of the competition based on the total or partial selection of the works.
