VIDEO: Illegal Drug Trafficking Cases Uncovered, Arrests Made

The police officers of the Yerevan division of the Patrol Service conducted intensified operations in the capital city on the night of October 15. Before the operation commenced, Patrol Service Chief Arthur Umrshatyan outlined the objectives of the enhanced service: to prevent any violations of laws and public order, to respond quickly and effectively, and to maintain vigilant supervision over traffic rules.

Following the briefing, the patrol officers initiated the enhanced service, during which they discovered several dozen violations of traffic rules. They identified 3 drivers under the influence of alcohol, 2 without driver's licenses, and 2 others driving with expired licenses. Additionally, 11 individuals were found operating vehicles without the appropriate licenses for the specific transport. One vehicle was discovered using altered license plates, and 7 were being operated without mandatory insurance contracts.

During the operation, police uncovered 2 cases of illegal drug trafficking, seized batons and knives, and detained more than 10 individuals suspected of criminal activities. These measures directed towards maintaining public order and ensuring road traffic safety are carried out on a daily basis.
