School Vacation Schedule Announced

The Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports has approved a school vacation schedule for students in main general, specialized, and special state educational institutions for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years.

For the 2021-2022 academic year, students in grades 3-12 will have the following vacation periods:

• Autumn Break: from October 25 to 31, 2021, inclusive;
• Winter Break: from December 27, 2021, to January 9, 2022, inclusive;
• Spring Break: from March 21 to 27, 2022, inclusive.

First graders will have their autumn break from:

• Autumn Break: from October 18 to 31, 2021, inclusive;
• Winter Break: from December 27, 2021, to January 23, 2022, inclusive;
• Spring Break: from March 21 to April 3, 2022, inclusive.

Second graders will have their autumn break from:

• Autumn Break: from October 25 to 31, 2021, inclusive;
• Winter Break: from December 27, 2021, to January 23, 2022, inclusive;
• Spring Break: from March 21 to 27, 2022, inclusive.

The Ministry of Education has the authority to establish additional breaks in the event of force majeure circumstances (such as adverse weather conditions, the spread of infectious diseases, natural disasters, etc.) by making changes to the academic activities and the schedule of established vacations for students. Educational institutions may also make changes to catch up on missed hours or notify the relevant authority about organizing remote learning.
