Bayraktar UAV Creator and Erdogan's Brother-in-Law Passes Away

Özdemeir Bayraktar, the chairman of the management board of the Baykar company and the author of the strike drone development project, has died in Istanbul at the age of 71. This was reported by the Anadolu Agency.

The first drones developed by Baykar were used in the Turkish Armed Forces from 2005 to 2009 during anti-terror operations in the southeastern region of the country. The latest drones that Bayraktar worked on include the Bayraktar TB2 and AKINCI UAVs.
