‘I’ve been locked in my room for three days. I’m not going outside’: Vahagn Davtyan from Tokyo
My health condition is excellent. This was stated by European vice-champion and champion of the European Games, Vahagn Davtyan, who is also the head of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the Yerevan Municipality, during an interview with a reporter from NEWS.am Sport.
The gymnast traveled to Japan on October 13 with the Armenian team, where the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships will take place from October 18 to 24. Vahagn Davtyan tested positive for COVID-19 in Tokyo and is currently in isolation.
“I feel very good. I’ve been locked in my room for three days now. I’m not going outside. I don’t want to talk about my mood. I took a COVID-19 test before leaving Yerevan, and the result was negative,” said Vahagn Davtyan.
It is worth noting that the Armenian team is already in the city of Kitakyushu. Vahagn Davtyan has been isolated in one of Tokyo’s hospitals. Among the team members are Harutyun Merdinyan, Gagik Khachikyan, coach Hayk Nazaryan, and referee Hakob Serobyan.
