Russian Defense Ministry Reports Azerbaijani Convoy Came Under Gunfire in Artsakh

Journalist Nairi Hovhikian's statement:

“Azerbaijan does not hide that it has at least one slain soldier, Afghan Bahram oglu Khmyzayev. The enemy states that their soldier was killed by fire from the Armenian side. The Armenian side denies it. Officially denies it, but I would be glad if our troops actually punished the enemy this way.

The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that an Azerbaijani convoy came under gunfire on the road from Mataghis to Karvachar, most of which is under our control. The enemy has no losses. The Russians do not mention who fired at the Azerbaijani convoy, just as they do not specify who is firing on Armenian settlements.

We should be prepared for new provocations from the enemy, which may occur both in Artsakh and in the directions of Syunik and Tavush. There is no need for panic, of course, but we must be ready for new reports about gunfire.”
